Contributions to the Evaluation of a School Mediation Project: SWOT method

Abstract

This article is part of the broader scope of the project “Conflict Mediation: towards Civic Coexistence”, which took place between 2019 and 2023 in four school clusters in the Porto district. The article presents the main results of the SWOT analysis carried out by the mediators who implemented the project’s activities. This method enables a structured evaluation, materialised in the identification and critical analysis of internal and external factors that influence the effectiveness and sustainability of the intervention initiatives. We conclude that the evaluation using the SWOT method proved to be essential for improving the various areas of the intervention in question and for consolidating mediation within the school context.
