Revolutionary dynamics: 25 April 1974, the housing crisis in Porto and their sociologies

Abstract

With reference to sociological and socio-historical literature, this article attempts to construct an interpretation of the revolutionary relationship established between the military uprising that took place in Lisbon at dawn on 25 April 1974 and the collective force that surrounded it. In connection with this purpose, it extends the construction of an interpretative sociological point of view of the Portuguese revolutionary process, trying to identify the specific character that urban and housing issues have in it, highlighting the case of Porto, for what it represents in terms of importance in this process in the country.
